"The food is delicious and all organic, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the vibe is so full of life and community. The Garage is a dearly beloved local spot, and for good reasons. The cafe is really a bustling centre-point of the Cowichan community, and there is always something new to try, always an interesting conversation to be had in the beautiful new seating area at the back of the restaurant. The Garage is reminiscent of European-style indoor markets, with a bookstore, art gallery and salon space sharing the building. Thank you to all of the dedicated hardworking folks who provide such an essential offering to our community, we love you guys!"

What hospitality, what smiles, and of course the most AMAZING Montreal smoked meat I ever tasted and being from Ottawa , Ontario we have tried some incredible Montreal smoked meat in our day, this is by far the best I have ever experienced . "Great pub food. Craft beer made on site. What more to say? Super service - friendly and attentive, but not your 'overly friendly, can I sit at your table' type of service. I have not had a bad meal here even though I've eaten here many times. The rooftop patio is great on a nice day too. In the winter the seats by the wood burning fireplace are a premium. In short. Visit here when in Duncan. If it is full try the adjacent sister restaurant, Just Jakes. Same menu and same great service."
