It's been a while since I last came here not since pre Covid times, in fact. My last review of this place wasn't altogether favourable, but things appear to have improved somewhat since then. It's a pleasant pub in an attractive village location. Service is still on the slow side although, to be fair, the barman/waiter did advise us there would be a bit of a wait for food. 5 ladies on an impromptu night out for a bite to eat. just 2 waiting staff, who were lovely, but over worked. the food was amazing, although only one veggie option. that needs to change £15 for half an inch of mushroom rissotto which took forever to come out we were not asked if we needed more drinks and didnt want to go to the bar as the rugby was on and we didnt fancy wrestling to the bar.
