"I called here for lunch with my mother. what a great place! decor is beautiful, the staff is very friendly and welcoming and the eating is absolutely delicious and very cheap. very good menu selection. only a thought- my mother (she is 92) would always go for suppe as a midday selection, so it would be nice to see on the menu. we will definitely come back!"

We ordered several canapes and small bites, all of which were of a high quality, absolutely delicious and excellent value. "What a birthday treat for my son’s 45th! He loves fine dining, that’s why he chose Next Door, the restaurant is only small and intimate, but the ambiance of the place is spot on, matching the clientele! The lunch menu although small, was just right, as everything is cooked to order. I opted for the main and dessert! Delicious, as the menu changes every week I will only comment on the flavours and portions. I found it to be a dining sensation, the flavours were unbelievable, an explosion of tastes that every one of my tastebuds picked up on. The portions were ok for me, but I know others would have eaten another 2 dishes. My dessert, even now I’m in heaven with the taste! WOW! 100% amazing. The staff were very attentive, ready to take our orders, drinks and anything else we wanted, we were able to relax, no rush, just a completely relaxing delicious meal. I would definitely go back! Soon!"

"Booked for afternoon tea for me and my mum. Absolutely lovely setting and welcoming atmosphere. The tea sets and crockery were so beautiful. The selection of teas were amazing and I love the fact they were loose leaf! The afternoon tea itself was delicious (especially...the sandwiches, oh and the cakes…and everything else). Congratulations to the ladies at this tearoom for making such an amazing environment. I’ll be back asap!"

"Had a nice visit to the Cheshire cheese with family friends. the pub is beautiful. when it was a sunny evening, we went and sat at the bottom of the large beer garden where there was much space for our children to play. the manager dave and team were all very friendly welcome. we will surely go back. friendly and cozy pub."
