Sorry food was very very basic, awful greasy after taste, I like garlic but over powered, I hate being asked how I want my steak when they clearly do not pay attention to detail. Not good value for money. Service ok but one of waiting staff did not understand what I asked for! read more.

Really enjoyed our meal at The Lamb yesterday evening. The dog friendly section was cosy and our black lab was made a fuss of and enjoyed the dog treats. Friend...

"Visited with my elderly mum who has mobility difficulties. We had had a very difficult and slightly traumatic day and my mum and I desperately needed a sit down and a cup of tea and something to eat as we'd had to miss lunch as...well. We managed to park pretty much right outside as my mum has a blue badge, although there is parking for anyone for 30 mins. Not long but maybe enough for a cuppa and cake! The staff were very welcoming and friendly and extremely thoughtful and assured us that it would be fine to get a sandwich and a pot of tea even though it was 3.30 when we got there and they closed at 4pm. The food was lovely and fresh and the cake very good and we loved the way it was served on vintage china and a lovely proper tea pot with loose leaf tea. The tea was very good and plenty of it. They could not have been more helpful and considerate and definitely went the extra mile for us. Poppy's is a really lovely and beautifully decorated tearoom with some gorgeous vintage pieces as well as small gifts and cards. We felt it was a really special place with lovely people and lovely food and we will definitely be back now we've found it! Thank you to them for giving us a happy end to what had been a very challenging day for us."
