We had just arrived at our holiday destination about a mile down the road and decided to come here for lunch. It was about 3pm when we arrived, place was empty but we had a very nice greeting from the barmaid. We all ordered a sandwich and a portion of chips, it was all freshly made and very tasty, would definitely recommend. read more.

Mothers day carvery didnt disappoint. Lovely fresh selection of veg and choice of three meats. The new owners are so friendly and accommadating. Waiting on staf...

We booked here for carvery (3) of us ,upon arrival drinks came when ordered,then we asked to go up for food ,minimal choice of veg,cauliflower cheese not enough...

"I have been determined to get into Next Door for as long as the restaurant has been open! However on so many occasions it was not possible until the other week when we (myself and the girlfriend) with the facility of attending a birthday party. As I entered I found myself looking at a fabulous rural bijou place with olde worlde charm dripping from every corner of the restaurant. Now that's the decor discussed so on with the food and drink that was on offer and this was I promise you exquisite. I had a couple of beers that I have not sampled before to begin with and they were very nice. Then this was followed by some delicious red wine . Now I don't normally drink red wine but decided to on this occasion. Moving on to the food. Now it was a taster menu and every dish albeit small was quite stunning to behold and quite delicious. Augmenting that was a good informative description of each dish that was brought to our table. I must also add that they were quite filling as well. In sum an excellent meal in every respect and I cannot wait to go back."

"We enjoyed a delicious vegan brunch of homemade sausages, falafel hummus, with baked beans, mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes, homemade kartoffels and torts toast. the atmosphere was really cooled and the staff super friendly and helpful. impressed by the various options of plant milk we recommend the chai latte! too filled to try the cake today, but we will definitely be back soon"
