I really liked this place. A bit pricey for this area but it's a casino so... The piano player is a nice touch and the servers are always attentive. We sat in the lounge area near the player and drank for hours after enjoying a DELICIOUS meal. Will be back soon. View all feedback.
What Reese H doesn't like about The Cove:
Where do I begin about this horrible way to start the day that's suppose to be romantic. Me and my date had a 6:30 reservation but was not seated at a table until after 7:15. After being seated the calamari came out under cooked. The she crab soup was good. After sending back the calamari we waited over 45min for the wrong food to be sent to the table. Once what we thought was our food came it was wrong. Had to send... View all feedback.
I am surprised this restaurant does not have more reviews. I was here recently as part of an event, and the first thing I noticed was outstanding hospitality from everybody. The restaurant manager even came to us individually to make sure our dining experience was great. The venue is spacious and as you go in, you are first greeted by a live piano performer and a full bar area. The dining room is very comfortable, with numerous booth seating options for more dining privacy. For a restaurant attached to a casino, the food was very good starting with the sourdough bread and cracker plate, served with salted butter and garlic infused olive oil. The bread was very warm, fresh, and crusty, and altogether delicious. For our appetizer, we each selected the raw bar sampler, consisting of oysters, cocktail shrimp, clam, and crab claw, along with a delicious cocktail sauce and a red wine vinegar sauce. This was very good, though I felt the crab was a bit overcooked. For our entrees, both the filet and crab stuffed flounder were cooked to perfection. They both paired beautifully with sides of wild mushroom, asparagus, and baked potato with sour cream. Although we each ordered a glass of their house white (pinot grigio) to go with the meal, which was a great pairing with the food, next time, I would probably select a better wine because this one lacked a bit of flavor. Nevertheless, the food was very delicious and I would definitely return to repeat this experience. Lastly, but not least, I must recommend their chocolate cake. It is very delicious, with layers of moist chocolate cake and chocolate mousse. While the accompanying raspberry sauce is delicious, I would probably recommend asking them to hold the sauce when ordering this dessert because the flavor kind of clashes with the chocolate cake. Other than that, great dining experience.
We had not been to The Cove in some time and were delighted with the food that we ordered. I had the pork chop which was cooked perfectly and it was outstanding. Our pinot grigio was crisp, cold and not too fruity. My other half had the scallops which were done perfectly and she loved them. Our 2 sides of Asparagus and the Cauliflower with broccoli in a cheese sauce were delicious and plentiful and we had to take most of it home. Our server, Alissa, was outstanding as she has been for the last 11 years at the Cove and she's the biggest reason that we keep coming back.
I was very disappointed, this was my first time eating here. I ordered the shellfish trio with the lobster and shrimp and scallops, my girlfriend ordered the prime New York strip steak and we also had asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes everything was cold. My girlfriend didn't want to send her steak back cause it would have been over cooked, it was medium well. I did send mine back and it still wasn't hot. This was very disappointing to us. The manager didn't even come to us to apologize. Bad business!

I was at this restaurant with my family to celebrate a 21st birthday. The service was below the level I would expect at a diner, let alone this restaurant. It took about half an hour to place our orders, and another half an hour to receive the starters. I ordered a surf and turf special, and it was mediocre. The lobster was cooked too long, and the steak was covered in some type of smoky rub. When you order an expensive steak, the quality of the meat should speak for itself, it shouldn't need seasoning. Multiple people at my table received drinks that they didn't order. I tried three different wines and they were all substandard. If this restaurant has a sommeiller, they should fire him/her the wine selection was terrible compared to comparable restaurants/bars in Philly. I've been to this restaurant several times over the past few years, and it has always been stellar, so I'm not sure what happened. However, this time I was extremely disappointed. EDIT: the cappuccino I had for dessert was quite good. That was the best part of this meal.
