"Me and my boyfriend popped by this place after reading trip advisor reviews that are mostly really good, we were not disappointed, it was clean, the staff are very attentive and friendly. The only downfall was my first option was not available however what I did receive was very tasty, my partner was very satisfied and always notices good quality food which he did comment on. A lovely start to our day, service with a smile makes a difference, thank you."

"Cheesecakes from simply cheesecake are simply divine. You won't get a better slice of cheesecake in the North of England. Not only that but the prices are ludicrously low. An absolute bargain. If you want a quality, handmade cheesecake you need to get yourself to simply cheesecake."

"Absolutely delicious. Had a family pre wedding get together and everything was fabulous. Food was amazing, restaurant was modern and clean, not after we left though. Staff were very friendly and efficient nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend. "I’ve been to this restaurant once before and loved it so naturally we went back for this government eat out to help out scheme. I’m not one to complain so I didn’t at the time but the seafood in my linguine was disgusting and chewy, my boyfriend said his was mediocre, I get that they were busy so left it. It was al I ate yesterday and now I have severe stomach cramps and vomiting, and to make it worse, we were deffo over charged but you couldn’t tell as their bill was written on. £35 when mine and my partners food was £15 each, both should be half price so £15 all together plus a small wine, morretti, a lime and soda and a coke (shouldn’t be £20). As it’s made me sick I wouldn’t go back, the younger ladies out front however were lovely."

"Fantastic culinary experience……… My wife and I, along with our dear friends visited The County restaurant, 13 The Green, Aycliffe Village, County Durham today, Saturday the 19th of March 2022). As soon as we walked in we were warmly greeted by a lovely waitress/ hostess called Claire. She showed us to our table , gave us some menus and took our drinks order. We all chose different starters and mains. Kieran, our waiter, brought our meals and we were not disappointed. Why?, because: 1) The food was well presented 2) The plates were red hot 3) The food was piping hot 4) The food was excellent, tasty and plentiful 5) The waiter/waitress Claire and Kieran) were super friendly, polite and professional, nothing was too much trouble. 6) The pub/restaurant was spotless, warm and inviting. A truly fantastic culinary experience. Well done to all at The County restaurant."
