First visit. We will go back. My husband said it was the best tortellini he has ever had. Salad dressing was amazing. Busy on New Years Eve. The hostess stepped right in to help the wait staff. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Talayna's Italian:
Pastas were cold and shrimp in fettuccine under cooked. Sent back but still not up to par with quality in past. Bread Dishes and silverware looked like they weren’t checked for cleaning quality before placing on tables— simply weren’t clean. Also Tried to seat in tight booth during covid... Wasn’t the great experience and quality we experienced in the past Hope it was an off night. Wish them luck! View all feedback.
They were observed that the owners take two small white dogs for a holiday dinner with the family while the restaurant was closed, but that is disgusting and bad. they've been watching us so I know they know we've seen them. image
And my waitress jasmine was great. Today I had a new yorker pizza, but they also have st. louis on chicago syltyle. I like her Chicago style, I think it's the best thing I had in front of you since uno her st. Louis locations closed. (not really a fan of Pi)Your mozzarella sticks are the same generic, from a bag sorting that have most places, but at least they are served really hot.
My man and I went to lunch today and had an excellent experience, although there were only 2 employees there when we arrived. the one served and the other was cooking and serving. I didn't feel any help for them, but we never knew that they were missing any help if we hadn't said it. the service and food quality was excellent! more and more customers came to lunch, but the service remained consistently wonderful. we sat immediately, our order took immediately, and our eating came faster than sometimes it has in past with many workers there. we ordered everything they can eat, pizza, pasta, salad and everything tasted delicious. just before our departure came another server to help them thankfully, but the two people there all the time a man and a young woman) earn praise for all their hard work and stay calm and pleasant in a less than ideal situation. many thanks for a great lunch today!
Ordered the Super with no green peppers but add black olives. I have been working in the St Louis area for 4 weeks and finally got a pizza I would order again. St Louis style crust was perfect!! Come hungry the small is definitely for 2
Great food but the service is severely lacking. The staff is not knowledgeable about the menu, they aren't very professional, and they will definitely forget about you when dining in (drink refills are rare The staff means well, but whomever trains them does not do a good job.All that being said, the food is very good; their salad, tortellini, and pizza are all worth trying. So, expect good food, but know that the service will not be good.
