"Wow, I'm reading these negative reviews in shock because my experience the twice I've been couldn't be more different. The staff from the moment we stepped in were very attentive and friendly, they couldn't do better. Drinks and food arrived in very good time compared to many places. The food itself is fabulous, everything me or my companions have had has been 1st class, for starters the soup is excellent, tasty and thick not the watery garbage I see elsewhere. But the scallops, deep fried brie and prawn crayfish cocktail all got a hearty thumbs up. The main event of course is the steaks, well the sirloin, fillet and t-bone have been fabulous, best I've had anywhere around here. Sides are equally good, the large cut chips, sweet potato fries, and rosemary herb potatoes are all excellent. I'm afraid I can't comment on deserts, we've never had room for one. All in all I couldn't fault the entire experience!"

"Our daughter has just moved to Sheffield so we aren’t familiar with the restaurants in the city, the Ashoka came up on a Time Out recommended list so we decided to give it a try and we weren’t disappointed. The menu is interesting and not your average run of the mill offerings. Food was delicious and portions were ample for us. Staff were friendly, helpful and attentive, the restaurant isn’t that big so glad we made a reservation."

"We are a group of girls that visited here for bottomless brunch on the recent bank holiday.We booked a few weeks in advance and put our menu choices in a few days before and paid the final balance. This worked really well as meant that things ran really smoothly on the day.The atmosphere was absolutely fantastic. Despite Boris confining everyone to their seats there was still a real buzz about the place with music at the perfect volume to enjoy but still be able to speak to each other. It was a really friendly environment.There were plenty of staff on so we never had to wait long for a drink (always a worry on bottomless brunch). Drinks were great quality and a good selection to choose from. We all really enjoyed the summer berry blank canvas.Food was also fantastic and again a good choice to choose from. I opted for the brunch grill which really set me up for drinking.Overall a really great experience. Some other friends have recently booked this based on my recommendation and I am hoping to return with my husband too."
