I used to drink in the Brit quite often before leaving Chesterfield , so it was nice to return after such a long time. Met a Friend for a couple of drinks. Pub had a familiar look and ambiance comfortable and cosy . Friendly and efficient Service and a good range of Beers. What Melanie D doesn't like about The Britannia:
Saturday lunch was made to feel very welcome. Ordered quickly but the food took about 30 minutes to arrive even though the pub was quiet. I have a jacket potato which was undercooked but had no opportunity to say so as no meal check. My Husband had the beef chilli which was lovely and he said the chips were wonderful. The pub had a damp mouldy smell which I found unpleasant, because of this I probably won't go back. View all feedback.
