I recently started a plant-based lifestyle and was looking for a good vegan restaurant in the Hyde Park area while running errands...and boy did I find it! Cafe 53 is amazing! I tried the falafel and hummus sandwich and it was delicious! The pita bread it came with had the PERFECT amount of crisp (all of their breads are vegan) and did not fall apart. The falafels were old and mushy so was the pita bread. Fattoush salad had cheap ingredients. I would not be surprised if the vegan falafel sandwich had a sort of dairy ranch View all feedback.
