We celebrate valentines dinner at Nellcote, the ambiance was fantastic. We could have a private conversation, didn't feel the need to shout over the background music, which was also a pretty great playlist. The food was reasonably portioned and tasted great, it's a fun spot to share plates. Our server was a character, which added to a great dinning experience View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Nellcote:
I would have said that to a manager, but a lot of luck to have one with the terrible service. for 4, just to sit on a table for 3. we finally moved. during our first round of drinks we ordered two beers that came out warm. they said the round was on them. as we like our warm beer. server came to check twice on our table and she could have less interested we were there. I would have said this to a manager, but good luck getting a hold of one with the terrible service. Made a reservation for 4, only to originally be seated at a table for 3. We eventually got ourselves moved. During our first round of drinks, two of us ordered draft beers, which came out warm. They said the round was on them...like we’d like our warm beers...Server came to check in on our table twice and she could have cared less we were there. Food was ok. Ordered the NY Strip personally, and it was pre-cut for me and not on the bone as advertised. When in the area, I would recommend another restaurant.
The atmosphere in the building was great. Very beautiful. It was not busy and they had staff on but they never came around to check on us or see if we needed anything. We had to find them and ask them when we needed more water, drinks.
Food was not great, drinks were good, service was good, setting and ambience was interesante and not in the beat way
It was tasty but the music was way too loud to have a conversation. I'd expect that on a Friday but this was a Wednesday and there were only 8 tables being used in the whole restaurant. No need for that high of volume. It was uncomfortable.
The restaurant was closed, even though we had a reservation with OpenTable. Not sure how this happened. I've been here previously, though and the food/service was great!
