very delicious food from fresh ingredients. their tortillas are homemade. their chips salsa are delicious and very tasteful. the chicken enchiladas with the salsa verde was very nice, although I wish that the part was bigger. the chicken tacos were great as the cheese was crisp (can not remember that it actually means). the service was great, and it was very refreshing to eat outside. What User doesn't like about Old Pueblo Cantina:
some of the worst Mexican food I've ever had. the salsa tasted like tomatensuppe, the cheese cracked was a good idea, but tasted like something from taco bell and the margaritas tasted like drinks from tgi Fridays. extremely too expensive and I will not be back. View all feedback.
This is one of the best Mexican restaurant I have been too. Place has perfect sized menu and everything was delicious. Cocktails were good in general except the one I did not like. I asked waiter about it and he was considerate enough to replace it. You do not get this kind of service often. We were party of 9 and we all enjoyed our food. Food was on the expensive side but worth every penny. This is one of the places in Lincoln park one should visit if one is craving for Mexican food. Definitely recommended.
Decided on this place while looking for a Mexican restaurant around the area. I wasn't expecting the place to be 100% authentic but it was far below what I did expect. The salsa and chips served were odd. The salsa was sweet, almost like ketchup or a pizza sauce. I went with the enchiladas after asking the server if the sauce would be slightly spicier, which was definitely still sweetener than you expect enchilada sauce to be. My boyfriend decided on the cheese crisp since that's what they're know for and to put it bluntly, it's a less flavorful Taco Bell Mexican pizza. For the price they charge for the food, expectations are definitely higher. Simply put, if you enjoy dining at Uncle Julio's, you'd probably really like this place.
Probably one of the best tortilla chips I've had. The cheese crisp was delightful, but our favorite part of the meal was the esquites. The service was fantastic. Looking forward to going back again
Food was really good. Drinks were ok but strong so that was a plus. The water did had a bit of a faucet water taste don't recommend. They give you chip tortillas and dip that were really good and fresh. The chorizo and cheese pizza was yummy specially if you add some of the salsa dip on it highly recommend. Chicken enchiladas sauce was thick but delicious. If you in town highly recommended you make sometime to stop by. Plus staff was really nice and answer all our questions.
Very tasty food consisting of fresh ingredients. Their tortillas are house-made. Their chips salsa are delicious and very flavorful. The chicken enchiladas with the salsa verde was very nice, although I wish the portion was larger. The chicken tacos were great, as was the cheese crisp (can't recall it's actual name). The service was great, and it was very refreshing to eat outdoors.
