Honestly I think that this is the best spot in Chicago for an authentic banchan experience. The meat was well marinated and there are a TON of side plates (I think there were more than 20 for just two of us). The tteokbokki was also delicious. What Spike B doesn't like about San Soo Gab San:
The beef mediocre and the pork belly was cut too thin unlike the menu pictures. The new grill exhaust is so big it covers both person sitting across from you. The price is also ridiculously expensive. Be prepared to spend 50 a person View all feedback.
We appreciated that our large group was able to be seated right away without a reservation, and enjoyed the experience of the tabletop grill, everyone had fun....
