"Had simply a delicious experience from leesm’s garden. we had vegetarian and meat options. the duck was by far the best I've eaten for years. all eating was fresh and hot with many great aromas and not salted over. will be my new favorite."

"Came in mid week for a family birthday and to start with we were the only ones there. Both staff on duty very friendly and happy to help in any way. Food was brilliant and attention to food intolerance was spot on. More people came in later on and the atmosphere remained the same, peaceful, welcoming and a genuinely good local pub. We’ll be coming back again for sure."

"Good old traditional pub opposite Priory Park. We have been here many times for the Friday night Fish and Chips 2 for 1 deal. Unbeatable value. The Park Tavern is always popular on Friday night so pre booking is advisable. A healthy portion of battered fish and chips with mushy peas and tartare sauce hits the spot every time. There is a good selection of beers at the bar. The atmosphere is buzzing and the staff could not be more friendly and helpful! Definitely a go to pub/restaurant. The Park Tavern also has a full and tasty menu as well!"

"We had an evening with friends that we have known since all our children were born 16 years ago! We were taken through to the small cosy room, I think it is called the bakery. Very friendly service, starters we excellent. Main course even better. Tiny confusion over desserts but sorted with good humour and amusement. Would highly recommend and would certainly return. When we came to pay there was some confusion but all sorted with many apologies and good humour again. It is not making errors that are the problem it is how it is resolved that is the measure of excellent customer service. Top venue."
