Probably the Best pub in a 20 mile radius of kirdford. I'm not a drinker but pop in a couple of times a year for a shandy, but I've heard nothing but praise for this pub. Locals love it, the food is supposed to be brilliant, the atmosphere great, and certain events attract huge crowds and support..... Staff a awesome too... I entered this pub on Boxind Day and I was horrified to discover they were hosting a fox hunt. Fox hunters are cruel criminals who torture wildlife. Surely no respectable pub should welcome these shameful relicts from the past? View all feedback.
For a fast drink, fabulous interieur, original, historical gem. bad beer, not to taste my men, but that shouldn't be them out of fabulous ambiente and the most beautiful camein with a roaring log fire, what is not to love? local discuss the days antik and friendly. it was before my doorstep!
For Sunday dinner and we both had the roast beef. under the yorkshire pudding we found two tiny slicers of roast beef. very mean!
Had lunch here with our walking group today. Everyone enjoyed their food and the service was excellent. Thanks Phil.
Lovely staff who are super friendly, beautiful gardens and nice food in a gorgeous part of the world.
Classic English pub with great food and service. I had the fish and chips and my wife had the Halloumi burger and both were delicious. We will be back again (and again).
