"Every time I've ever pulled to the drive disc in Kick Ass, every employee there was always very friendly and attentive! "Wow! First, the food was excellent. We started with beet salad. My wife and friend had razor clams, another friend had sturgeon. I'm vegetarian, I found the mushroom ravioli to be delicious. For dessert, we split a tiramisu and homemade ice cream. Our server Juan did a great job. Prices were reasonable. It was so good we were back the next morning for breakfast. My wife had Willapa Bay oysters, which she reported were fresh and delicious. We also split and order of New Orleans beignets.I had the blueberry waffles with blueberry syrup, it was wonderful. We highly recommend the 42nd Street Cafe if you're on the Long Beach Peninsula."

"First time trying this place and it was great. Staff was friendly. Food was good. The drinks were good. The place has a great atmosphere. Great decor. Has a family section and a bar area. The restroom was very clean and wheelchair accessible. They also have a family restroom which is great for people with kids. Ample parking. Located right on the main street into Long Beach. We went on a busy Saturday and they warned us they were a little short staffed, but they did great. Will definitely eat here again next time I'm in Long Beach!"

"The food was good and the plum wine was AMAZING! The menu was really big, which can be a little overwhelming for me, but there were many good options and large menus are quite normal for sushi places. The atmosphere was welcoming, comfortable and casual. I know I didn't always look at the right Sushi Ess label, but there was no verdict or immutation. Just good times and good food. Prices were decent when considering that this is a very tourist city. I liked it there."
