"I stayed at this hotel for two nights since I saw that it was close to some good hiking spots in the White Mountains. While the hotel itself is lovely, I had a bad experience as a single person dining at the Ledges Restaurant. For those who aren’t familiar, there is a massive window that overlooks the mountains in the dining area. I made a reservation for 5:45 on a Wednesday evening, and the hostess sat me further away from the window. I noticed there were several tables open next to it, so I asked the waitress if I could move. She checked with the hostess and then told me that they couldn’t move me because the reservations were all laid out. However, I also had a reservation, and all of the tables were four-tops, the same size as the one I was sitting at. I wasn’t asked in advance where I wanted to sit, so it seemed peculiar that some tables were already assigned. When I left, there were still three open tables by the window. I felt frustrated because it seemed to me that they didn’t want to seat me there since I was dining alone. I returned to the restaurant the next morning and asked to speak to the manager, who wasn’t available. I told the hostess at the time what happened and she agreed that it was likely due to me being alone. I don’t appreciate being treated differently due to the fact that I was by myself, which it seems was the case here. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for anyone traveling alone. Side note — there are no microwaves/dishes in the room so you either have to eat at the restaurant or leave the hotel."

"We arrived around 5:30 and put our name/number in for a table reservation. We we 're told a 30/40 minute wait. We had to logon to their wifi because we had no cell service and they would text us. Found a seat at the bar and left the phone on the bar and ordered a few drinks while we waited. 90 minutes later I checked with the hostess and was told our spot was given away long ago and we were removed from the waitlist. We were never texted. So now we decide to order dinner at the bar since we 're over 90 minutes into this dinner catastrophe. We had been paying cash for drinks at the bar during our wait because we were expecting be called to our table. When we cashed out after dinner I then had to fight to have drinks removed from the ticket we had already paid cash for. Such a stressful experience. We should 've just made sandwiches at home. Never again."

"This restaurant is trying to appear like a high end dining experience but the food falls flat. Bruschetta topping was refrigerator cold and on somewhat stale crostini, beet salad was full of beets that had discolored spots and little flavor, duck breast presented well but lacked flavor. The only flavorful dish was the pork chop which was quite good. There are much better places to eat in N Conway."

"The only things on the vegan pizza are onions, olives, and mushrooms so if you don't like one of those, its just bread with tomato sauce. I don't like mushrooms or Daiya cheese so it was literally 6 olives, a slice of onion, and tomato sauce on one of my slices."

"Had to stop by after trying their mead at Hobbs Tavern. One word, Wow! I didn't think I liked mead until I tried theirs. I was amazed by the various flavors and complexities. Staff was very friendly and informative, and probably gave us more time than we deserved (my wife and I asked a lot of questions). After generous samples and a flight, we came home with four bottles and plans to return the next time we're in the area."
