"A nice warm cafe to visit. Ok service, and it is clean. The meat pie here is damn good. Meat was smooth with a good crunch from the pasty. I think this is one of the best pies I’ve ever had. I’ve had a lot of pies. Also there may be 3 Kea’s waiting to steal your food. Beware, they will jump on your arm and eat your chips if you’re outside. Very entertaining. But don’t let them stay on your car for too long, they will rip it up."

"It was a surprise to find some vegan options basically in the middle of nowhere, and with amazing views. This place changed property recently and was done inside. The menu includes a vegan burger and fries (which I tried very nicely), also a pumpkinslate with pace, and the server said the pasta and soup of the day can be vegan. Many drinks available, including several beers and two apples on tap (Moa rhubarb and apple Somersby, both vegan). (Review from August 2020) UPDATE March 2021: The menu has changed slightly and the frits are no longer vegan (they are pre-cooked in beef). Wedges are vegan (if you are all right, are cooked with them in Canon oil besides non vegan products)."
