"Outrageously delicious. Imagine the best tasting Indian meal you’ve ever eaten, then know this is better. Last night in Christchurch tonight for a while and wanted a curry, I’m usually somewhat skeptical about curry in AU and NZ after living in ‘home of the balti’ in Birmingham, UK and It’s with utter luck I stumbled upon this absolute hidden gem. The only thing that surprised me about this place was the fact it wasn’t packed to the rafters with a waiting list to book. Every herb and spice perfectly placed and the flavour was to die for, and quite simply the best cheese and garlic naan I have ever eaten. The owner/front house is well mannered, prompt and very friendly. Myself and my partner left incredibly full! If I could score more than 5 I would. Highly recommend anyone who hasn’t tried this place. I’ll look forward to visiting again in feb next year!"

"Best Tasty Thai and Top Service!<br/ <br/ This restaurant is very popular and we usually find it very busy and full of energy. After dining 3 4 times this year they are so overdue for a great review. We should know to book, however the owners and team are so friendly and we don’t need to wait long for a table.<br/ <br/ Food is to die for and the crispy prawns were a great starter with our wine. We have had many traditional spicy dishs (Pad Phed, Pad Ke Mao, Pad Krapao) which are full of flavour! Less hot but equally yummy Crispy Duck, Oyster sause, Peanut sause and Pad Sew Ew dish. Your Sticky mango in a pineapple tops off great evening thank you Thai Orchid team!"

"I've been there a couple of weeks ago and had the Jackfruit Masala and i am still thinking of it. It's been so delicious, rich in spices and flavors. As a starter i had the Samoa chaat which was equally yummi. They also the a vegan version of a mango lassi (with almond milk instead) and it was perfect since it wasn't too sweet as other shakes i had before. You can choose between a couple of currys with different spiced rice and naans. Try it!"

"A nice wee cafe with a really great outdoor area for kids, something that you don't find in cafes often.<br/>The decor was awesome and a really comfortable and friendly setting, the lady who served us was lovely and made sure we were happy throughout the night. <br/>The meal me and my partner had was amazing, we took up the 2 for 1 pizza deal and was not disappointed. <br/>The dessert however- chocolate mousse was a wee bit too rich and heavy which let us down. <br/>All in all though, very happy with the service and will definitely be back."

"We wanted to look after the start in the cuisine 2022 “Ones to watch” list after miro. we think it's absolutely disgusting from his place! I called to check if there were high chairs available (there was) and a table to the outside, so our 18mo could walk around in the nearby park (note that the high chairs only fit into the interiors, so we decided to sit them in a normal chair). the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, the coffee sensational and the eating delicious and beautiful presented. we had brisket and benedikt and rated them both as standouts. the clientele on a Friday morning was largely corporate folk, but we were made to make a totally welcome feeling as a family with a young child. are looking forward to a way back to try the lunch menu."

"This is arguably the best Thai restaurant I have ever had the privilege to visit. The occasion was a small intimate family birthday lunch for nine. Ambiance perfect. Attention to detail wonderful. Staff warm and engaging. Food delicate with good portion sizes. Attention to detail couldn't have been better. One of our party is wheelchair bound and her needs in this regard perfectly accommodated. Large purpose built toilet and access a huge plus. Thank you to the staff and management for a special experience."
