"It is now shoulder season, so when my wife and I arrived for a late dinner there a few days ago we were one of only four tables occupied in the restaurant. This is a new restaurant, located on the 2nd floor overlooking the town square. It is a nice location, and nicely done up for typical roof-covered but open-sided dining. Service was quick and friendly. We had the seafood platter for two, at 650 pesos (about USD35) which is pricey by local standards but a good price nonetheless. The seafood platter was huge, including a whole fried fish, shrimps,scallops, lobster, octopus, oysters, and a variety of vegetables (including nopales - cactus, yum!) and condiments. It was brought to the table quickly, looked great (see photos) and tasted great. Very filling.We also each had a margarita -- jumbo-sized, it turned out -- and jumbo priced (150 pesos each) but good value given the size.The only negative, and it is minor, is that our waiter insisted that we put on some sombreros and pose for photos. I know this is a tourist town and some people like that type of thing,but I could have skipped that. It made what was a casual evening with a variety of authentic Mexican seafood feel a little more "touristy" than I wanted. But, that might just be me.That said, fine seafood platter, good and friendly service. We'll go back."
