What Levi Thornton doesn't like about Kumo Asian Fusion In Cincinnati Delhi Township:
if you get cold sushi you MIGHT get half of your money's worth. my $14 roll however was worse than my experiences with a $5 roll elsewhere. customer service is awful and I'm pretty sure they have a no refund policy. don't go here. driving an extra several minutes would have saved us mo ey and gotten us better food...ps: they don't provide soy sauce. This was the the worst food I have had at a high price tos chicken tasted like fish sticks beef lo mein was fatty and dry I tried it to fine a new Oriental main stay not this one. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
Absolutely would never recommend this place to anyone at all. Outside is absolutely disgusting, the dining room is very outdated and smells. Me and my son hate two rolls each and no flavor or anything. Wasabi wasn’t even hot at all and the color on it looked very weird. One hour after eating me and my son were both sick throwing up and major stomach ache. Service: Dine in
This is one of my family's favorite Asian restaurants. Food is delicious no matter what we have ordered. Wonderful hot tea also! P.S. we are in America and have knives and forks so we can get every delicious bit. There is no need to use chopsticks, but they are available. Parking: They have a big parking lot. Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly ,food that kids would like to eat. Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking near the front door , easy access. No steps!
AC was broken or not working well, it smelled weird and wasn't very clean. The sushi was too warm, but the teriyaki chicken the service was good, but overall just not a good experience. So I had high hopes and was excited to dine at Kumo, strongly recommended by a friend. However. Outside of the genuine family owned restaurant feel that I liked a lot I was not impressed at all. (I am laid back and have worked in the industry so I am kindly understanding etc it takes a lot to make me have a bad experience). To begin, in a pretty much empty restaurant they sat us near a back corner next to a large loud floor fan that was running on high right next to our table. There was one other table of two persons in the restaurant so they were not busy. 2, 2 tops My sushi rolls were supposed to be fresh, cold, rolls. They were well below room temp warm and falling apart. Portion of wasabi was tiny, portion of ginger small but well. It was there. My partner ordered Pad Thai. This was the most unfortunate discovery here. Tragic there was absolutely no trace of that flavor that Pad Thai is known and loved for the peanut flavor peanut oil and tamarind and you can use peanut butter if you don’t have tamarid if needed. There was a side of chopped dry peanuts served with this dish which tasted of a brown gravy low mein noodles. Also to note the highest spice level was asked for when ordered and it was discussed that yes the highest spice level please for this dish. There was no spicy flavor. None. I tasted it I don’t enjoy spicy hot and I know how to cook. It tasted like a sweet brown gravy sauce over the noodles. No spice at all. It would have been nice to bring at least the concerns with the Pad Thai which was a total miss to our server my sushi well I didn’t want to add that complaint to the list so I crossed that off the “server discussion” list. I thought they made a different dish accidentally never had the opportunity to try to correct it. The server only returned well after the meal was complete and we only ate forward as there was no sign that she would come check to see if we liked our food. So kind hearted we are we just ate the meals. 25 minutes went by. Wondering what in the world happened with two simple meals. We were one of 2 tables there 2 tables with 2 people at each so they were not busy. When our server finally came back to take our dishes I decided to politely ask what had gone wrong with the order. I did explain the “perhaps incorrect meal served” with the Pad Thai experience. She explained that people whom come there do not like that peanut tamarind flavor so they do not make it like Pad Thai (although it’s called Pad Thai on the menu) they make it different. I didn’t mention my sad sushi rolls and made note to simply get my next sushi craving from Delhi Kroger. Not here. So. I scratch my head and just wonder. Many thoughts on this. I’ve had Pad Thai like 1000 times. It tastes like Pad Thai. If you don’t like the taste you order something else. And you don’t make pad Thai NOT TASTE LIKE PAD THAI. And if it comes to this please note to customers that when you order pad Thai it’s not going to be pad Thai FYI. ? I’m dumbfounded. Recco sweet brown sauce lo mein??? Geesh. Disappointed. So sorry just not going back. I wish them well and hope they have continued successes. I won’t be a participant in them.
