"Visited here last week after visiting Gloucester Cathedral. The best coffee my husband has enjoyed during the whole of our trip in and around Bristol!! He is hard to please, so this was one heck of a result. Thank you Hubble Bubble for putting him in a good mood : The caramel cake/shortbread we had was divine too, compliments to the baker."

"Really impressed with service and food here. I have previously been once before and the food was excellent then, so I decided to book a table for my birthday meal this weekend. We were a very big group and staff accommodated us very well, all of the food came out together and everyone was impressed with the quality of the food. Highly recommend, and will definitely be back! "The Fountain Inn in Gloucester is situated in a nice part of the city centre, very near the beautiful cathedral. The interior of the pub really does, as advertised, look like a country pub. It's small inside but has two dining areas, so for meals it accommodates more than appears to be the case on first impression. The food is absolutely first rate quality and a very reasonable price. Whilst the pub feels warm and inviting and the other patrons we meet are often friendly, as regular visitors we've unfortunately found that the same can occasionally not be said for many of the staff. Whilst service at the bar is usually quick and we're tended to at table very diligently, many of the staff, regardless of age, can be monosyllabic when spoken to, can come across as sullen and can occasionally even be quite rude and brusque in response to friendly enquiries or order requests especially when they're busy. This is a shame for a pub which otherwise faultless."
