What a gem! The fun and brilliance of a fine Fellini film, friendly fantastic service, phenomenal food. Stopped in near closing on a Friday night looking for a nightcap, never felt rushed, enjoyed a few drinks and delicious bruschetta snack. Returned for dinner the next day and enjoyed a feast. Definitely will make it a stop anytime I am in the vicinity. Highly recommend! View all feedback.
What Galina doesn't like about Cafe Amarcord:
We came with 2 kids and wanted to get chicken or fish for them but there was only very simple pasta without any taste. Kids ended up eating only bread. My shrimp pasta was too spicy and beets salad was not the best. Though my husband liked the veal dish he ordered. As long as the place is not cheap I wasn't satisfied after the visit. The service was incomparable! They could sit on the perfect table for our anniversary. The waitress was so attentive and made sure everything was inviting. The food was exquisite; Taste in every bite. In the end, they gave us champagne in the house for our anniversary. We're coming back!
Fabulous dinner and service. We had some specials of the night... A grilled Calamari appetizer and veal dinner. I can't wait to go back. Nicole was a big server and everyone was friendly. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Check the menu before you go best pork chop I ever had!!! The server said cook recommended it medium, it was going closer MR. I hate to send book back, but for the price I paid (plus I was hungry)! When it came back, it was perfect!! Absolutely delicious, the accusations that came with him, I can't speak because I didn't even try them. My BF ordered a special pasta with crab meat. He swore it, so I'd say it was good too! I regret not doing any other pictures, but I was so excited to see Stella Cidrè outside Europe! Check the menu before you go it is a completely different place, not a run of the mill restaurant. I wouldn't have thought we had a problem, but if it wasn't for the special, there wouldn't have been anything my BF dignity just eating because the style of cooking and what they were preparing and with some main dishes. Prefect place for drinks, but overpriced again! $12 for my beer. The wine list, as others have mentioned, is great with something for everyone, but again pour small!! It is very small and picturesque, so if you do not want to get closer to other people, this is not the place for you, as we hear about every conversation. Book this note!!!
The Stuffed Burger is easily the best sit-down restaurant burger in Beacon, possibly in all of Dutchess county. It's the least expensive entree on the menu but is completely mind blowing. I ended up getting the Cuban Mule, which was a drink special and that too was easily the best drink I've had in Beacon. Unfortunately it's not on the regular, but the Cuban Mule really did knock it out of the park. The ambiance is dimly lit and great for a romantic or chill evening, but I understand that's not for everyone. The real reason this is only rated 4 stars instead of 5 is because the dessert was just not up to par with the rest of the food. It just seemed like your regular, run of the mill restaurant dessert options in terms of selection and flavor. Not bad, but certainly not great and nowhere near the quality of the rest of the food.
Excellent cocktail and wine list. Tomato salad and pork chop were perfect. Nice ambiance and warm space. Great service.
