Came for breakfast. Service was ok. Food was good. We'd finished breakfast before our coffees had arrived (had to remind them we were still waiting) which was the only let down View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Romano's Coffee Knox City:
My mother and I were shopping at Knox and decided to stop here for a warm drink. The staff were really friendly and gave us a table straight away. They had a large range of food options but we just stuck with drinks. Our coffees were cold which was a disappointment. I wouldn't come back here again. View all feedback.
This restaurant is nothing to write home about. It is not budget-friendly and the prices are comparable to higher-end establishments. The staff is not very attentive - my plate was cleared while I was still eating and the server reached across my face to remove the table number sign. The owners or their friends took up a large portion of the restaurant with bags and children running around, which I found unprofessional. The seating benches were torn and covered in tape. The drinking water was warm and cloudy, making me question the cleanliness of the containers. Overall, I was very disappointed and would not recommend dining here.
The food and service were decent at this restaurant. However, I had a problem with the Kids Play corner and believe it should be removed. It is not easily visible from most tables, leading to a lack of parental supervision. During my recent visit with my grandchild, two children entered the play area and snatched a toy from her despite my attempts to stop them. This left my 2 1/2 year old grandchild feeling upset. The children then took the toy to their table, making my grandchild feel as though she had done something wrong. Parents need to monitor their children better, or perhaps it would be best to eliminate the play area altogether. While we all enjoy our meals and coffee, the restaurant should not be treated as a place to drop off children and forget about them.
Went in for lunch yesterday. It was medium busy. The staff were very good, friendly when I placed an order, quick to serve it and clear it and checked if everything was satisfactory after the meal. The food though, not so impressive (although I admit that when asked if everything had been okay, I just said yes, fine). I ordered a hamburger. It cost $14. Now that's not a fortune, I know, but that is all I got on the plate, a hamburger in a bun with a bit of lettuce, ring of pineapple and some type of what looked like chutney. Usually in cafes they serve a hamburger with a bit of side salad or a few chips, something. Not here. I could live with that but the bun was the worst one I have ever had, anywhere. It was a strange orange sort of colour and stale texture. It probably wasn't stale, but that's what it tasted like. If I were them, I'd ditch those buns and use something else. very average, food wise.
The prices are fair and the food is of good quality. The large coffee truly comes in a generous size. The service is friendly and accommodating.
I’d heard great things about this place and the food all looks incredible! The staff were pleasant and served us ASAP it wasnt busy at all. I ordered a small takeaway coffee and tried to give it a chance but it was unfortunately undrinkable. Clean your machine more often and pay more attention! Wouldn’t return.
