This is a great local restaurant that continues to offer ‘home cooked’ rustic Italian food at super reasonable prices. The best part is being to bring your own wine for a corkage charge. Hand stretched pizzas and all the usual Italian classics. Love this place! View all feedback.
What Helen H doesn't like about Daniela's Lounge:
Upon arriving at Danielas for lunch, we were unsure if the restaurant was even open as we received no welcome or acknowledgment from the staff. We decided to order pizza and salad. Unfortunately, the pizza was served on a cold plate, causing it to be cold and soggy. The salad portion was extremely small. It seemed that the staff was untrained, as the waiter even forgot to bring sugar with the coffee. Overall, our exp... View all feedback.
The lunchtime service was lacking, and it seemed like a burden for the staff to serve during their prep work. The pizza arrived at the table not hot. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
The food at this restaurant is excellent, the prices are great, and the staff is wonderful. I highly recommend it, but be sure to book a table in advance before it gets too busy.
Absolutely dreadful. We booked a table for 7p.m. arrived and after a few minutes ordered starter and main course (soup of the day and pizza). After waiting 30 minutes, we asked the passing waiter how much longer we would have to wait and he said the soup is off finished. Great to let us know, no apology. After another 15 minutes we asked him how much longer we would have to wait for the pizza he replied another 15 20 minutes, so we walked out. Again no apology Nobody in the restaurant (12 people) had any food served while we were there; they were just fulfilling take away pizza orders and couldn 't care less about the customers in the restaurant. If they treat regular customers like us in that manner, they don 't deserve any business from anyone.
You’ll always get good traditional food here. We love it. I did notice, however that my pasta portion for the main was much smaller than it was the time before. Still delicious but tiny!
It's a small, cozy restaurant. Nothing fancy, but great value for money. Service was good. Food was really tasty (we had the Parmigiana di Melanzani and Spaghetti Carbonara). We recommend it if you're near Little Venice.
