Yes! A pub that still has food at dinner time! No stilton, no pickled onions, ploughmans, steak kidney pie or sunday roast... but a limited tourist menu with the usual fish chips. Nevertheless happy to find an English dinner after being turned away by a kitchen closed pub up the Queensway. The barmaid was friendly and knowledgable, and made good conversation. I went there for a quick dinner. The place was busy with many people enjoying their pints or watching sports. I was served quickly by a nice a welcoming member of staff. Food was a classic English meal and quite tasty. I am often in this area while travelling for work and this place offers a welcoming and comforting space to unwind after a busy day.
