What Edward Butler likes about Il Posto:
Minestrone, beef medallions and Amaretto coffee. Minestrone was tasty, lots of veg. Beef medallions were ok Amaretto coffee very very sweet masked the Amaretto Staff very friendly. Turned up, they thought we were 2 but booked for 3. Sorted out very quickly. Reasonably priced wine, aperitifs, water beer for £145. Good for Central London. View all feedback.
What Barzini doesn't like about Il Posto:
I 've always had a high regard for 'Il Posto ', but standards have fallen. We were served three (modestly sized) pieces of garlic bread. My host said: 'So are we supposed to cut one of them in half? ' After his protest we did eventually get a fourth one. Then the wine no wine list offered. Asked for Frascati a standard Italian wine. Don 't have. Made another suggestion don 't have. We popped in before theatre and got a table without a reservation after a bit of shuffling by the manager. It was a very busy place, loads of people...
