I've recently starting working in this area and discovered the Phoenix Blend Cafe. Not far from the Spitalfields Market is this little cafe. Phoenix Blend has an amazing back story. Owned by the university. The cafe has a social responsibility aspect to the business. Specifically, it provides work experience for disabled people to gain work experience. Just terrible coffee, tasted so bitter and service was sooooo slow. The table was filthy and I had to swap to another table. I won't go back.
