If your looking for inexpensive Spanish food. This is the place to go. Right now its only take out no eat in and cash only. I bought pork shoulder(Pernil)it was deliciously flavored and the skin was crunchy just the way I like it. I also bought alcapurrias this is the only place that makes them right. I've had them in other places like Spanish harlem,S.I.,Bronx and they were either to mushy no flavor and the coloring... View all feedback.
What Zelideth Santiago doesn't like about La Isla:
Used to like this place, now they do not have pasteles and the alcapurrias sold to me were not the recipe for them. They were hard as the result of pouring flour when they are solely made on green banana and yautía grated...the meat filling was not good and overseasoned. Very dissapointed.
