What Natasha Taylor doesn't like about Dandelion:
The staff and service were good. Went for dinner on a Saturday night, there were a lot of full tables and because the music was loud, everyone had to also speak loudly. It was difficult to hear the person next to you speaking, and even the wait staff had trouble hearing orders. Absolutely gorgeous to come meet friends for a light feed and amazing drinks! Ordered the scallops pad Thai, fried rice and slow cooked beef short ribs to share with my partner and friend. Everything was cooked beautifully and full of flavour! Roisin served us and was such a delight, her customer service was perfect! She deserves a raise! Price per person: A$20–40
Had the Scallop Pad Thai, basically just a big bowl of noodles for $29 couldn't eat it. They don't take cash! Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3
The staff and service were good. Went for dinner on a Saturday night, there were a lot of full tables and because the music was loud, everyone had to also speak loudly. It was difficult to hear the person next to you speaking, and even the wait staff had trouble hearing orders. While the venue looks nice inside, the view of the gym and glaring red hoyts sign don't really help the atmosphere. Food was a bit hit and miss. Cassava chips were moreish, but the wok fried squid was like eating a rubber tire. Ordered the duck curry and beef ribs which were both delicious. But the coconut brulee was disappointing finish to the meal. Overall, a little overpriced for the venue and the food.
We are a school staff group who had our end of year function at Dandelion. Unfortunately our 1st venue fell through with only 3 weeks Sophie the events coordinator at Dandelion could not have been more helpful to enable our night go smoothly. The communication was clear passed on easily, the choices of food suggestions were perfect it all was delicious enjoyed by everyone, covering various dietary requirements. The drinks flowed definitively kept the bar staff very busy. Close to the end of the evening the staff allowed the music to be turned up encouraging dancing singing generally a really good fun ending to our night. I cannot thank the staff for a fantastic evening I totally recommend if you have a function, contact Sophie everything will be made so easy for you to have a wonderful experience. We will be back!
