What User doesn't like about Bar Aleman:
When "abundant" dishes are charged 'abundantly', all guest are led to share the same dish. Which is not a great deal, in the end. Nothing amazing or remarkable. Just one more restaurant in BA offering a wide choice of typical German dishes. View all feedback.
I came here fifty years ago with my parents and was intrigued about what it looks like today. Nice surprise! A real Bodegón Porteño to share with excellent services and very good dishes. Perfect matambre and mayonnaises. Delicious house pasta and good steaks. It is far from the Centro, but if you are looking for a real Porteño restaurant, it is worth the trip. Beautiful terrace. Amazing team. Very cheap prices!
It was always a restaurant with a good relationship between cost and quality. The dishes are quite rich so they can be divided.
Typical German restaurant in Buenos Aires. Good German food and local beer. The restaurant is large and has many tables, but feels like full when it is full. Good waiters.
I believe it's well near its 100th birthday, a traditional restaurant in Villa Devoto district of Buenos Aires, open for lunch and dinner. Specialty German food, though the menu offers many other choices. Portions are huge, so it's great for sharing. On weekends its better to book a table in advance, specially Sunday noon, because demand is great exceeding its spacious dining areas. There is a children's menu as well.
