Anna's Coffee Shop - Claremorris

Anna's chocolate cake was absolutely phenomenal. It's a shame that her charming little coffee shop closed down two years ago. However, there are whispers that some of her neighbors and friends up the lighthouse road might be opening a Stone Barn café. It's worth looking into as they might have even acquired Anna's famous chocolate cake recipe.

I wanted to inform visitors of Clare Island that the cafe was closed in the summer of 2016 and there is uncertainty about its reopening. The hostel manager informed us of the closure. The cafe is located perfectly along the route to the lighthouse, adding convenience for tired walkers. I heard great things about their coffee and cakes, so I hope it will re-open soon.

The restaurant provides a great atmosphere for enjoying a cup of tea and a light snack. The staff is very friendly and the vibe is laid back. It was a nice treat to stop in after exploring the island on the way to the lighthouse.

My family enjoy lunch here frequently during the summer months. The soup and paninis are delicious, followed by the famous chocolate cake with coffee or the Sweedish waffle and tea. Soooooo good!! The only difficulty is choosing one! A gem!
