"We were in Clarens for 4 days in total and ate here for 2 out of the 4, that in itself should tell you how amazing the food is!!! Service was average, atmosphere inside was not great, very loud and stuffy but eating outside was a much better experience and as stated above, the Amazing pizza made up for any shortfalls. A definite 10/10 for their pizza"

"Really good vibe, food and service. The steak literally melted in my mouth and the service was excellent. Live music adds to the ambiance of the place and even though we didn’t make a reservation they managed to get us a table"

"Roter Hahn is by far my favourite restaurant in Clarens.<br/ I haven’t been able to decide on my favourite meal on the menu. I make a point of it to order something different every time we go and I have loved every meal. <br/ If you are just peckish, I recommend ordering one of their platters to share. Sitting on the deck sipping ciders, sharing nibbles and admiring the views is a fantastic way to appreciate life and the tranquility of Clarens.<br/ <br/ LOVE! LOVE the deli. Usually 3/4 of our bill"

"We had been hiking the whole day, so we were hungry, and we craved pizza and steak. So we had garlic and mozzarella pizza to share as a starter, and fillet as a main best of both! And both were great! I will come back for the fillet. Generous portions, good prices and friendly staff."

"Beautiful atmosphere to start the year with. most likely to visit again on a daily basis. the personal was friendly eating from this world. it could do with much more different sauces to people with different tastes. they could also do with a non-alcoholic beverage list, as we did not have to get one and order something from our heads. the highlander restaurant is on a lighter note also a huge saver on the bag. I'll take friends there at the next visit."
