"You must go! Food is delish. Go hungry so you can try the empandas and an entree and dessert too. Recommend the Jesus Cake and I loved the jerk chicken. I want to try the cuban next time. The owner/staff are so great. They're exceeding expectations. Love that we have a spot like this in B'ham."

"I was dinning in with my brother and his wife we ordered our sweet tea it was fresh but hot had very little ice so we ask for 3 cups of ice. We then placed our order. As I was eating my salad with ranch dressing I took a bite and bit onto sum thing really hard as I was spitting it out I discovered it was the big plastic piece off of the squirt bottle . The plastic bottle top cut my jaw because it was caught between my partial and gum. We called the waitress to the table she replied with I'm so sorry are you OK I replied yes as I was trying to eat my food I could not because it was burning my mouth from the spice in my food. So I got a go box for my food. I had to remove my partial from my mouth because it was hurting. The waitress brought our ticket and she apologized again we paid our 83.00 ticket and left.I got home 20 minutes later to rinse my mouth . I called back down there to speak with management thinking our waitress had made her aware of what happened and she did not. This morning I woke up with an Ulcer in my mouth I busted it and rinsed my mouth warm salty was. I called back down there to explain what was going on again only to be told I don't know what you want me to do about it...I remind you management never said I'm sorry or anything. So if you eat here plz check your food."

"Ok Im giving this spot 3 stars and I will explain why but keep it short and sweet. 1st the spot is right off 459 which was great but it REALLY IS OFF IN THE CUT. When I arrived the line was almost outside of the door which I got excited about because I knew the food had to be slapping good! I hate that there was no wifi offered it was hard to stand in that line for more than 20 minutes and not even be able to surf your phone to make the time go by. The restaurant and bar are very nice and will kept with a stage for a band and TVs all around, great atmosphere to dine in. By the time I got to the front I had a weee bit of an attitude because that line WAS NOT MOVINING. I ordered the oxtails and the baked chicken. The mac and cheese DID NOT LOOK LIKE THE PHOTOS FROM THE REVIEWS HERE as it looked like it had not been fully cooked. And the only green vegetables they had available was cabbages as the collard greens were out. When I asked how long it would be before they brought more out, the server said she didn't know (insert eye roll). I was like lady can you confirm??? Ive been in line for 25 minutes! I want what I came for!!!! By this time I was deflated and simply paid for my plates, the dessert looked yummy but I couldn't spend another dollar till I got my two sides of collards that I had to wait for. Well they came out pretty quickly so I was excited about that. Yall, when I got home and tasted that food........EVERYTHING was bussin!! EVEN the sloppy looking mac and cheese!! The cornbread is good and unlike any cornbread Ive tasted before. ONLY because the food was good I will come back and try this establishment out again......JUST NOT ON A SUNDAY! "I wish I could give this review 0 stars. I ordered my usual ?go to? meal from taco mama. Thank you for putting the chips on the bottom which helped soak up the pool of grease in the bottom. The taco shell was completely saturated in grease and uneatable. I ended up scraping out the taco meat (squeezing the grease out first) and putting them on chips I had at home. You made Taco Bell look gourmet. And how does anyone mess up corn. ?"
