"You get to see the olde worlde charm only briefly. A couple of rooms as you enter. But we spent our evening in a grey painted rather dismal hall/ function room. It had a beautiful fireplace though. Heaps of staff running around and service was...good.the meals were very nice but this wasn't fine dining. We're locals and you will get better food and atmosphere in town for less money. But it was unpleasant more overpriced and no covid rules"

"Very disappointing given the reviews and recommendations of friends. The waiter mixed our water order, not a big deal and did not bother to say anything, but the only one offered a wine menu, no other drinks offered ie not alcoholic or spirits. We ordered our meal and the duck came out and the waiter continued to talk to us while we tried to eat what was quite strange and out of plaster. The main course came out and it was a nice time between the courses, but unfortunately my husband was $42 steak cold. We mentioned it to a waitress who apologized, but that was it. No one checked if we wanted to drink something during our meal. We had no desert. For the price of our meal for 2 people was well over $120 we were very disappointed and probably not back."

"Food was lovely and came out quickly, but the service was just AWFUL . The young blonde waitress clearly didn’t want to be there and was so rude. Customer service means smiling and saying hello and offering assistance etc. We had the complete opposite!!!! when we said hi we got a bland hi with no smile and the rest of the lunch was met with snarky comments and giggling/gossiping behind the bar while my 70 year old mum tried to clear plates and glasses at her own birthday lunch (I ended up taking all the glasses etc to the bar and that’s when the snarky comments and giggling and staring at our table started) and instead of coming to help clear all the plates and glasses they just sat behind the bar talking about us and looking at us. When we chatted to the blonde waitress about my mums booking, which she made 1 month ago and has called 3 times to chat about the booking, the blonde just said extremely rude “We don’t have the booking in the system” to my mum and my mum was quite upset. NOT ACCEPTABLE! The booking was 100% in your system. Kids Respect your elders and also if you want to work in hospitality you need to be hospitable!!!!!!!!! Clear the tables instead of standing behind the bar stirring up the guests!!!!! This generation of kids are just rude, entitled and lazy! Also the air conditioning wasn’t working properly and we were all sweating the whole time there. update 1 week after both my mum and I put an online enquiry in for the manager to contact us we still haven’t had a call.."
