Service was really great, the food was excellent and the cocktails were fantastic. We had a lovely Thanksgiving and It was much better than anticipated during this time of Covid View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Clinton House:
lack of disabled parking (only 1 we could see). the tables are too close together. it is very loud, and as the place cleared out, it seemed that they re-set the music that makes it always difficult to conduct a conversation. are better than weekends. I would recommend using the above caves as it is still one of the best places in the immediate environment; especially for smaller groups. View all feedback.
This place used to be great, short ribs were amazing and always the place to get a great steak. Now the best thing about this $250 meal is the tiramisu made by an outside party and the wine that already comes bottled. I really couldn?t recommend this place less. Go to Cree Wine. You?ll definitely enjoy the food more and at least feel like you?re getting your money?s worth.
...Dinner at the bar on a Mon evening. Nice beer selection. Chicken Asparagus meal was AMAZING! (over 2 weeks ago I'm still drooling at the memory. Daphne, our bartender, was a delight!
Went to celebrate my birthday. Use to live in the area and always enjoyed the Clinton house. The food is still good. But on a hot June day not to have a/c ruined the whole dinner. There were no fans , no portable a/c units . We were told it has been that way since November.. Not a way to treat customers that paid $400. For a meal
My sister took me to The Clinton House for dinner last night. She wanted me to try the food for my birthday. We had to drive almost 90 minutes to get there. I doubted it would be worth the drive. I was wrong! It was fabulous! Our server was a delight. He was so friendly and attentive. I ordered the Beef Wellington. I have not had that particular dish in years because it tends to be hard to find. Loved it!! Added a side of the Mashed Potatoes. They were also very delicious. The whole experience was delightful and I'm now plotting how to talk my husband into making the 90 minute trip(each way) for our anniversary dinner. I have 3 months. I'm working on it.
OWNER RESPONSE refused to take responsibility for terrible meal. SPARE YOUR WALLET AND STOMACHS .....A beautiful atmosphere ruined by a careless and unacceptably terrible kitchen. A remarkably bland, uncreative, and highly disappointing dining experience. The head chef has managed to take what few fresh ingredients they receive and dress them down in a slurry of frozen vegetables and distasteful gravies. One glass of chianti was clearly re corked and weeks old, yet still served. Only thing saving the place is its gracious wait staff, who seemed pre poised to apologize for the terrible food. Pictured: cheesecake dessert, served up with a slice of red onion Additional last two reviews feature same photos and were clearly produced by the restaurant.
