Travelling via Interstate-5 could be boring, but there's this inviting sign that always got our attention - the can't-miss "Harris Ranch" sign at Coalinga.

"We waited an hour to get food, another hour to get check. Guest came before and after us... left before us. Wife’s steak was cooked well done as I ordered medium rare... steak looked and tasted boiled. No char marks what so ever. Been coming here for Vday past years, this was not pleasant"

"The food was great and the ambience was perfect. Our server(s) were on top of everything we needed. The seats were really comfy and well suited to the decor. The steak was perfectly medium rare. Meat was a little tough in places but the char was so perfect I almost didn?t care. I didn?t love the sides too much, but I didn?t hate them either. Exception was the mushroom soup which was perfect in every way except the portion size. If this wasn?t so far from the Bay Area I?d definitely make this a regular stop."
