"We were so excited to see an Indian restaurant in our middle town, and then we found out that it is only vegetarian! in a land of fried chicken this is rare. although Guatemala breakfasts are usually vegetarian, it is much more difficult to find veggie lunch and dinner. the food is prepared in a beautiful, clean restaurant. there are many vegan options and a juice/milk or soy milk bar. eating was good, maybe not amazing. the options are usually Indian, but the heavy Indian flavors are missing. we were twice and had the channa masala, the disteler masala, all three taco varieties, the samosas and various licuados. the sauces usually taste tomato-based and are not very spicy or tasteful as they can expect from Indian foods. have no chai! the naan is more of a flour tortilla, but delicious. the windshield wiper was fried and tasteful, the samosas were hearty with kartoffels, and who doesn't love cheeky? the mushroom tacos were really good! go with decent veggie eating, not an Indian restaurant and they will not be disappointed! the personal doesn't know much about gluten, our waiter on the first visit assured us that the veggie dogs were soy only to show us the dose they came that had wheat gluten as the first ingredient! the owner seems to be more knowledgeable, but please see labels for this is a problem for them! the channa masala came with the wheat/soya dogs, but we asked them to hold and they did it. overall very excited to finally have a veg restaurant in the city, even if the Indian aspekt is light."
