"The food is very good! However, we didn't get any actual bill and the server just told my husband that the sum had already added a 20% tip, without saying that she had added a tip table with two adults and a child, so that also not expected). My husband paid another 20% tip about it and we only realized later, as we were in a hurry to go as our annoyed toddler was already with me outside the restaurant. I have no problem with automatic satisfaction, although it should be clearly stated, or we would have received a postcode. Ends unintentionally pay like a 40% tip. Note: orders Hummer Curry $25), pig Vermicelli 14.50) and a bubble $6) and said we owe $57. Ends to pay $68 with additional tip."

"On Friday October 13th, my girlfriend and I made a reservation for dinner at the Fence and Post for 515pm.When we came in we were greeted and directed to a table in an otherwise empty restaurant (I think there were 4 other people not including staff there at the time) right in front of the kitchen. This was obviously disappointing and we did change tables but it seemed like the disappointment was only beginning.In excited preparation for dinner here we had researched the menu, I ordered the Osso Buco and my girlfriend ordered the Rustic Pasta w/shrimp.The Osso Buco was tough, cold and without any flavour. It was clearly pre-cooked and reheated and not enjoyable whatsoever.The rustic pasta had no taste, small portion size and required a significant amount of salt (we even added the Ratatouille to it to give it some amount of flavour. The garlic was nowhere to be found or tasted.We only had one glass of wine with the meal and with our mandatory gratuity (the service was acceptable) came to nearly $200. I cannot believe that such prices would be charged for heated up leftovers prepared by (visibly) inexperienced kitchen staff. These prices are more reflective of a restaurant that cares about their customers ' food and would not serve them that garbage for $200."

"I made my reservation on Open Table and confirmed a day or two before. When I arrived the waitress hostess looked and said “your reservation is for tomorrow” and showed me someone else’s name. I said that it wasn’t me and she argued and said I didn’t have a reservation. I tried to show her and she dismissed me and said just sit anywhere.Other then the initial interaction, she was relatively friendly and the service was fine. The food was very good and came out quickly"

"We came for the ramen however The sushi here is decent and generous sized.The Ramen broth needs a bit of work it’s missing something. So -1 star for that. It’s still tasty but somethings missing keep trying and it’ll be perfect!I’d come back for just the sushi honestly!"

"2 weeks ago, Friday eve. 15 min wait to be served, 15 min wait for lukewarm food, skimpy served but biggest problem was a 20 minute wait for the bubbled one that did not come with the other drinks and meal. 20 minutes to serve a moderate blase tee missing pearls with gel. this trip is not impressed. they must improve on the plate quantity and serve hotter in better time wise."

"We were told about Costa Vida by some friends (that lived in Texas for a long time) about two years ago and it took us this long to get there. I wish we would have gone two years ago, it's amazing. This is my new go to Mexican place. It's as close to real Tex-mex I have had here in Calgary. Great flavors, with fresh ingredients. If you have kids go on a Monday as kids eat free (kids meal) with the purchase of one adult meal. Also get the Costa Vida app as you gain points quickly, which translates to free meals. Some people maybe thrown off by the restaurant style, but it's exact set up of most of my favourite places in Texas. So it's a cafeteria style system, walk up to the prep area, order your food and go down the line of toppings and ingredients that they add for you. While it might remind you of a sub shop, once you take the first bite, you will thank yourself for the experience, well at least I did.. I get the beef burrito everything I go, I really want to try something else, but fear it will not be as good, though everything looks really good. I find myself wanting to go every Monday."
