No convento, uma cafeteria bem agradável para um lanche rápido ou café. Há muita variedade no cardápio com atendimento bastante amigável.

Surprenant de trouver une cafétéria sur un tel site. Les filles sont très accueillantes et agréables. les sandes ont été très apprécié. Merci beaucoup

"Another popular restaurant in Coimbra. Very good traditional food. We shared a dose of fish, served cold, with cabbage and potatoes, with half a bottle of red wine followed by deserts 12 euros. It is a lively, compact restaurant with seating for about 20. Freindly Service. Parking is located on the steep road, parking is tight, so you may need to drive further away."

"Drawn in by the €10 menu and good reviews we weren’t disappointed. Soup/bread, beautifully cooked sardines with veg and boiled potatoes, egg flan, very tasty house red and a coffee to top it off, oh and a bottle of water. How refreshing to visit a tourism hot spot without being ripped off! Really decent young waiter who served us promptly made for a great meal."

"When I entered into the restaurant I got automatically the feeling of familiar environment, Very well decorated you can distract yourself looking at the wine bottles in the walls while waiting for the meal. In this restaurant I tried excellent seafood, with scrimps and very well prepared sapateira (crab). Also a very good plate is the secretos from black pork, which was very well served. The only thing I have to point is that it should accompanied with a salad. The waiters were nice and very attentive to ours requests. A very quiet place to enjoy a meal."

"Everything is gluten free. The blood sausage with apple sauce was a great starter. We then ordered the seafood rice (2 persons minimum, 45€ and wow were we pleasantly surprised: not only did it have a huge portion with tons of shells and big prawns, it also came with a lobster on top! Service was very nice and friendly. Best place we ate in Coimbra!"

"We ate here as a group of four when staying at the Vila Gale hotel where the restaurant is situated. The food seems hit and miss. It was busy, with the hotel full of guests. There’s a large menu. Bread was doughy, processed hotel rolls. We waited 45 mins for the starter and 1’15 mins for the main courses. My duck breast with potatoes and mushrooms was acceptable. My wife, son and our guest went for pasta. My son’s ricotta ravioli was absolutely swimming in cream (bechemal) and was bland. The other pasta dishes seemed overcooked and under seasoned. Clearly, we didn’t try all the dishes on the extensive menu. But some of the ‘non Portuguese’ dishes on the long menu require a rethink. Most guests went for the buffet in the adjacent restaurant which overall seemed better. Always a problem with restaurants in nice hotels what do they want to be fine dining or a canteen?. For me, in the a la carte restaurant we are dealing with here, I would have had a much smaller menu. There were probably 40 mains to choose from. Too many. I’d rather the chef do a rotating 6 8 freshly prepared dishes each day. It’s easier for them and food would be better."
