Hadn't been here for awhile as last takeaway was not as good as usual. On this occasion we dined in and were pleasantly suprised by the great service and in deed excellent curries, well executed naan breads, authentic sauces and yummy appetizers. Although the restaurant could do with a revamp to make it a little more cozy, we will certainly return soon. View all feedback.

Booked in on a cold night and we were the only ones there. Restaurant nicely furnished but boy was it cold in there. There was a small heater not plugged in and we commandeered it! We ordered the korma lamb and kofta. Lovely flavors and we enjoyed the beautifully cooked meal, except for the undercooked naan bread.Rather disconcerting on our arrival to have a takeaway customer query whether all of her order was there... We had Jogan Rosh, Butter Chicken, Beef Curry and Vegetarian Biryani All excellent flavor texture appearance etc They grind their own spices and it shows! Just be aware that rice is not included.
I done a rave review of this restaurant a year ago when we last visited Colac, in it I told you we visited three times in seven nights, just as well as the takeaway I have just collected is dreadful, the lamb rogan josh taste like tined soup, the chicken jalfrezi tasted not remotely like a traditional Indian dish, the chicken biryani was tasteless with two tiny pieces of chicken, the roti bread was undercooked, the portions came in the smallest containers I've ever seen, all in all, this now ranks the third worst Indian Restaurant we have ever had anywhere in the world, and now the third one we have immediately put in the bin, the worst $72 I've spent in a longtime. What happened here.

Visited the restaurant yesterday while driving towards great ocean road had crossed Colac in between. The restaurant was good, the server was great very polite, kind ,knew his job very well. We ordered for a punjabi chicken curry , mutter ( peas)panner, breads. The food was well spiced and tasteful according to indian pallet we had specially requested them for making it spicy. Would visit someday again.
Took the family for our 14yo birthday dinner on a cold Sunday night.. The restaurant was surprisingly quiet but admit we were happy that we could have a lovely warm spot and enjoy each other's company without the extra noise. Our waiter was very attentive (taking our orders, keeping water bottles refreshed and even found a lovely heater to put next to the table for some additional warmth)We ate the Onion Bhaji, Pakora Punjabi and Chicken Tandoor for entree - yum! The chicken was absolutely spot on - sizzling on its own plate - absolutely deliciousThe mains consisted of Lamb Mushroom, Butter Chicken and Malai Kofta - as usual the rich deep flavoursome sauces were divine and the meat beautifully cooked.Side dishes were Saffron Rice, Garlic Naan and my absolute fave Kashmiri Naan.Nothing disappointed and the final bill was fantastic value for the food we ate. Definitely recommend to travellers and locals - will go again... and again... and again.. :-)
