"You are never sure if you have picked well when taking that rest break on a Lo g road trip. If you enjoy coffee this might be the one for you. If it is good then there may be better options. No menu just take a look in the fridges at prepared items of great variety and most look fresh. The items we selected were ok? Did we make the best selection in the town we will never know."

"Astonishingly good. Good food was expected but the service was flawless and rooms were way above expectations, the record selection for the turntable was great. Our only minor point of contention was maybe too few Australian wines in the matched set, all good selections but I am sure an extra Aussie or two would fit in. Rooms: 5 Service: 5"

"OK country restaurant. Just off the main road in Colac is Oddfellows, it's nicely fitted out, with friendly staff welcoming you in (albeit a little odd they were eating lunch at the bar at 12:30pm, i.e. when they are busiest). Some heating on in the restaurant wouldn't go astray. Overall the food was ok, and being used to city prices didn't seem to bad, an ok place to stop for lunch, but wouldn't go out of my way for it."

"As good a pub grub as you could expect served hot by friendly staff. Lambs Fry and Roast Lamb shoulder will bring us back. Warning! The garlic cheese bread is plentiful, filling and delicious."

"We stopped here for lunch while returning from Warrnambool to Wheelers Hill. We decided to go past the usual franchises available on these roads and decided to go for the first Chinese that fell on our way. The place was empty. There were plenty of tables of different sizes. The man , possibly the owner, who received us, was a little grumpy . Gave us a two seater table and then vanished. His wife came and took our orders. Since we, an elderly couple, are a small eaters, we ordered a soup each - (a) chicken corn and (b) wonton soup and a plate of fried rice with prawn. The lady thought that we had ordered too little. After serving the dishes we were left alone and the people including some tradesman were busy installing new chinese chandeliers. We had to call the lady once to give us a jug of water. As they served no Chinese tea with the meal (they do so in the Chinese restaurants we visit in Melbourne) we had to ask for two cups of tea. They charged us AUD 5.20 for the tea. Overall , we were satisfied. We got what we wanted - a change in taste at a reasonable price. NO regrets."
