We arrived for Sunday lunch, have been there a few times on our visiting Mersea Island and a nice Sunday lunch, but this time it was not good, a spoonful of cabbage and peas! All odd bits of cabbage, tiny, weeny carrots (3) which were black at 1 end a teaspoon of swede, 3 roast potatoes, 3 slices of pork? and a very thick gravy, that was the standard size, but I think I got a small one, should have complained there a... Six of us enjoyed the special Thursday pensioners menu this week. It was a lovely experience with delicious food and wonderful staff. Very good value.
