This is just an amazing place. Due to traffic we arrived late. But were welcomed with warmth and amazing food. The dinner I ordered was out of this world. Really the most amazing lamb chops I've ever had. The room was stunning. It was warm and cozy even though it was freezing outside. Our cats felt safe and we slept like logs. The food is the best in the Karoo. Mike and Annelie are perfect hosts. I've stayed at The Barracks on several occasions and never had a complaint.

"Sweet little restaurant in Colesberg. Had the most delicious pumpkin fritters; reminded me of my granny’s. I ate the karoo platter a LOT of lamb which made for an incredibly rich in fat meal but it was delicious. Wine selection is tiny."

"Just want to compliment you on your rude staff members. Just asked politely at the counter to please clean the table with a cloth beacuse it was so oily dirty, a few minutes later the woman comes and throws a wet cloth on the table, without making eye contact or saying anything and walks off, just leaves it there for us to clean up after them. After taking the cloth back to the rude lady they just laugh it off. We were there on Sunday 9 October 2022 between 13:00 and 13:40. Those ladies clearly don't deserve their jobs there as they do damage to your business."
