"We give five stars even if it is not a vegetarian restaurant because in a place lost in the world where the word vegan has not yet arrived, the two young Roman pizza makers offer a great vegan pizza. by the Italians, one of the best we have ever tasted. maybe a little small and dear, but it is worth it"

"Last week. You should be in bad faith not to enjoy the meal. the dishes are all very fine and very well executed. Small flat with respect to the dish where the serving of fish was really thin but forgotten by an exquisite sauce. A modern and old mixing frame (walls with some spider canvases but it happens to all of us ;) very good wine choice by sommelier, however, its service can be improved by some details as not to make the following wine taste too early to taste the previous until the end, and not forget to serve the spouse who drinks only water! Good evening overall, to be recommended."

"We discovered La Nouvelle Auberge on a trip in 2016 when they were profiled in a British wine magazine. When we started considering a trip to Alsace as Covid restrictions started lifting, I started harassing the restaurant on their Facebook page to see if they...were going to be open as they were a must-visit! Thankfully, they were fully open for our July visit. This is a classic family operation with dad in the kitchen, mom running the front of house, and daughter, Charlotte taking care of the guests and (more importantly the wine. My wife and I both opted for one of their prix-fixe menus, especially when they were able to substitute something for my wife 's fois gras. EVERY course was a visual piece of art and prepared in an equal manner! Add to it how so much of it was truly regional (half of the cheeses on the cheese platter were from within 2km of the restaurant! and you can understand why we were in heaven! But what made it truly memorable was the wine-pairing. Rather than choose from their fantastic wine list, we went with a wine-pairing for each course. The wines that Charlotte put together with each dish were not only delicious, but were paired with such subtle nuance that I would never have figured it out without her explanation. Once she did, though, the logic was unbelievable! Easily one of the most gifted wine palates I 've ever enjoyed (of course, part of it was having eaten her father 's food her entire life and knowing his thought process . This is a truly local restaurant ... on both this visit and when we were here in 2016 we were the only tourists (jackets aren 't required but do dress a little nice if you brought the clothes so you won 't be self-concious! . They speak some English if you do not know French so you won 't be left in the dark. But you definitely want to experience their food and wine!"
