What Rafael Quiroz doesn't like about À La Table du Général:
I Did not like the Japanese influence and decor in this lovely old stone building. As for the food, it all looked very beautiful, but the taste did not match the looks. Service was not of Michelon standard, very perfunctory, a left napkin just dumped...in the middle of the table, a mosquito in wine just dismissed. View all feedback.
Overpriced menu. service disappointing. food quality, very fraudulent! very small portions. drinks are overpriced and limited choice.
We had made reservations. good what we did because the restaurant was full. there is a fixed menu of 25 euro (apparent, main course and dessert) which sound very appetizing, but we have not chosen this. we have chosen à la carte and shared an appetizer....A kewitsche by forellen delicous and a pretty presentation on this place with a Michelin star noticed! the price 8 euro. then I chose a turbot (28 euro;) this flat fish was nicely served with fresh vegetables. my partner chose ris de veau (sweet brot 35 euro) very tasty he said. not my cup tee! for dessert (10 euro) we chose brioche pavlowa with cream on another wise very tasty. a bottle wine her house red régnié wine at 30 euro per bottle a very good choice. the service was impeccable so that the room with view of the surrounding fields would not have asked for something better!
We have a home in the vaucluse and after the curly down in london we were on the way there. we stayed and dined in this hotel last year and that was our first meal in a restaurant for over three months. we were not wisely disappointed. it was a wonderful evening dinner with three excellent glasses very economical champagne from a local weinberg. perfect service and every dish original and tasty. legally we had to breakfast in our room and that was a bit disappointing as we had to call the hotel to do our orders. we look forward to the return.
We came to dinner with great expectations, but this was already warmed when we saw the prices on the menu: starter from 35€, main courses (e.g. cannon) for 60€. this could be justified by the quality of eating, but it was without saying anything...more about it. there were no flowers or candles on the tables and we hardly saw a maitre d’hotel. we also stayed in the hotel, but we did not get a bottle of water in the room and the coffee maker was only soluble nescaffe. the view was embellished in the
The second time we have stayed. Lovely room Overlooking the countryside. Staff very welcoming. Dinner in the evening outstanding. Breakfast good as well.
