"Reopened under new management.... Despite what Urbanspoon has stated, Jake's is once again open for business (was there Sunday before last). It's a nice place that's a cut above most other bars in Five Points. With over 30 beers on tap and some interesting takes on bar food, you could do a lot worse in downtown Columbia."

"Wow. When I go to a place I want my food to me fast, accurate and hot. This place was all three. The customer service was superb. He helped me figure out what to order. The chili cheese dog was top of the line no complains. Only only thing I would say is. I did not ask for ketchup on the side for the fries and there was none in the bag. So if you are a sauce guy like me. Make sure to request some with the food."

"OMG….this took me back to Puerto Rico! Food was DELICIOUS! Real authentic flavored food. The alcapurria was AMAZING…..not only the flavor, but it was fried in clean, fresh oil. The flan was PERFECT……not overwhelmingly sweet. We were a group of six and everyone LOVED their food. Service was phenomenal. They treated us like they’d known us forever. I will DEFINITELY be here again when back in town."

"I door dashed from this restaurant. Wings were very tiny for the price. I've had wings that were bigger from other restaurants recently so it is possible to have decent sized wings. They were also drowned in sauce. I was very disappointed. I order a size of crispy fries and they were not crispy. We did not have to wait very long after ordering our food so they still should have been hot. They were cold and had a few crinkle fries mixed in with straight fries."

"Had the gyro, the kofta kebab, two bottles of bock, and hummus for take out.The kebabs, the gyro, the tabbouleh, and the rice were blissful. The staff were super supportive, helpful, and welcoming. It is an amazing little hole in the wall.I'm taking one star away because the hummus is bitter. It was far, far too bitter for any other words. Perhaps it had too much tahini or something else. They really gotta work on their hummus. Maybe their olive oil is not on point. Everything, everything else was beyond awesome, even the suggestion of the right beer with the gyro.Would I go back? Absolutely. Would I try their hummus again? Doubtful. If I don't have to pay for it, I'll try it again some time. For now, though, dang. Support your local Mediterranean Tea Room."
