"Great service, out waitress always checked to see if we needed anything the food came promptly and was delicious. The only thing is they were playing country music. I mean I love country music. But when you go to a Mexican restaurant you expect Mexican music. That was the only that was different."

"We arrived 10 minutes before our reservations and were immediately greeted and shown to our table. The general manager, Blake, was incredibly helpful and recommend the scallops appetizer. It was amazing! Our server, Chelsea, answered all of our questions and we decided on the Monkfish and Red Drum. Both of our entrees were exceptionally prepared. We will definitely be going back."

"This was the perfect late night dessert! Got freshly baked cookie monster cookies with blackberry crumble ice cream. The cookies had a soft chewy interior and crunchy exterior. The icecream was refreshing and had a hint of berry flavor. The paper plate and spoon helped the icecream from dripping everywhere which was much appreciated."

"This place continues to live until its name Real Mexico. If authentic Mexican food is your thing, don't look further. All my meals start with a large cold can Equis Amber design. Today's late lunch was the Carnitas dinner. Crazy delicate pig, perfectly seasoned, with a cactus mix, beans and 5 flour tortillas. Quickly prepared and excellent service from our waitress. Parking can be difficult and the indoor temperature is high in summer, but these small inconveniences are worth it. Great little place!"

"Reopened under new management.... Despite what Urbanspoon has stated, Jake's is once again open for business (was there Sunday before last). It's a nice place that's a cut above most other bars in Five Points. With over 30 beers on tap and some interesting takes on bar food, you could do a lot worse in downtown Columbia."
