Main St. Pub Allendale

Pub nachos supreme are to die for if you're a nacho lover like myself. Service was excellent. Draft beer very crisp cold.

Catered reunion event. Great room, staff super attentive. Food came out hot and on time . Restocked w/o needing to ask. Upstairs bar available for anyone needing anything extra. Very clean. Good acoustics in the room. Adjacent outdoor patio is a plus.

Honestly the food was fine. Normal bar food nothing fancy. But the issue was our server came to the table and just would NOT stop talking. We said we didn’t want to hear the specials and she said her manager MAKES them say this whole long thing to EVERY table. I’ve worked in food service for over 10 years. You’re literally pushing people out the door by making the server talk and talk and talk. If I wanted to hear the specials I would have asked. The server was nice and polite but whoever is forcing them to keep talking when clearly we don’t wanna hear it needs a reality check.

It is starting to look really suspicious on all of the black artists that are being blocked on the juke box. Really weird in a young college town. Owner trying to make it look like nothing. Bar is looking racist due to ownership BLOCKING black artists that can be played on THEIR jukebox. You don’t allow us to play it. IT IS BLOCKED, NOT SKIPPED YOU DONT GIVE US THE CHANCE TO PLAY BLACK MUSIC IN YOUR BAR.
